Redmi Y1, Redmi Y1 Lite Made Sale Over 150,000 Units Under 3 Minutes in First Sale: Xiaomi


Xiaomi’s Redmi Y1 and Redmi Y1 Lite went into the sale on this Wednesday and have gathered an amazing response from buyers in India. Manu Kumar Jain, VP Xiaomi and Managing Director Xiaomi India, claimed that the very first smartphone sale on Wednesday and they saw more than 150,000 units sold in under three minutes.

The smartphones were made accessible only through Amazon India and on Wednesday. Jain also reported that the following sale will happen on November 15. Quite, Redmi Y1 and Redmi Y1 Lite will hit the racks in offline stores too. Both Redmi Y1 and Redmi Y1 Lite had launched with MIUI 8 out-of-the-box, but they told that, this month the users will get update of MIUI 9.

Xiaomi Redmi Y1, Redmi Y1 Lite price in India

Xiaomi Redmi Y1 cost in India begins at Rs. 8,999 for the 32GB and 3GB RAM variation, going up to Rs. 10,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB variation. Concerning the Redmi Y1 Lite, the smartphone comes with single configuration having 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, and is estimated at Rs. 6,999.

This Xiaomi Redmi Y1 has standard connectivity options, including 4G VoLTE. It is controlled by a 3080mAh battery. It weighs 153 grams, and measures 153×76.2×7.7mm.

Going to the Redmi Y1 Lite, the smartphone has a 5.5-inch HD screen and 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor. This dual Nano SIM smartphone has a designed with dedicated microSD card and this supports up to 128GB. The resolution for the back camera is 13-megapixel, with LED flash and PDAF, while the front camera has a 5-megapixel sensor. Its battery limit is 3080mAh, and it includes an IR blaster also.
